Hi! I’m Becky Feldman, and I’m as cheap as they come. I mean that as both a weakness and an innuendo. I think. Anyway, I host Too Stupid to Live, a podcast that reviews romance novels $5 and under.

Look, there's nothing like a good romance novel. And there's definitely nothing like a cheap romance novel. On each episode, hilarious guests join me to analyze those steamy book covers, read sexy excerpts, and have some stimulating discussions that will make you laugh AND blush.

Why Is the Podcast Called Too Stupid to Live?

I get asked this question a lot-ish. When I first started reading romance and was looking online to find a community of romance readers, “too stupid to live” (or TSTL) often described female protagonists who put themselves in dangerous situations where they needed to be rescued by men. People would ask, “Who would make those decisions in real life?” To me, it kind of felt like a put-down of the genre. So I decided to take it back. My argument is that EVERY character in a romance novel is “too stupid to live.” Why? Because they’re fictional characters in a book that’s all about fantasy. So, why not have some fun and analyze them?
